Review

I really enjoyed 'The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao'. Check it out if you like postmodern fiction.

Redefining

Funny how just two weeks ago I was on top of the world. How long is two weeks anyway? A fortnight. Fourteen days. Three hundred and thirty six hours. No time at all and yet, somehow all the time in the world.

I've had to come to terms with a few things these past few days. All of them have hit me hard and out of nowhere. They've been painfully consecutive. It's been difficult.

But today, after what seems like forever, I'm actually looking forward to tomorrow. Today I don't think I'm going to be 'settling' for LUMS next year. I'm actually getting slightly excited about it. Today I'm thinking about all the advantages that come with not being head of a society. Today I'm assured that by tomorrow I won't care about what he thinks of me. It doesn't matter anymore.

Here's to looking at all that you have and smiling. Here's to tomorrow.

D-Day

Yes you guessed it.

Of course right now I'm thinking of the billion things that probably went wrong.

I had cereal for lunch. I think it's time to go back to school.

An Excerpt

Part of one of our 'fuck everyone/everything. we're awesome' conversations. (Ali Bhojani and Amna Chaudhry)

Amna says:
you should always try everything at least once
except rape

ali says:

Amna says:

ali says:

Amna says:
what else?
reading war and peace
nobody should ever try that
i bet even tolstoy didnt even read it back to look for spelling errors

ali says:
reading war and peace
you shouldnt play with matchsticks
or scissors

Amna says:
this is turning out to be a long list

ali says
okay so you should try most things at least once

A Gem

People come and go. Once you realize that, you'll be a lot happier.

Oh, and hello August.
